CONFUSION OF CHILDREN'S ROLES

Whenever people in high places decide to restructure society by changing its dignity, this will certainly change the position of children in society.

The end result of some of the programs that have been instituted by our government and the United Nations, is that our children are confused. Is it the parents' fault as some would say? Is it the fault of the schools? Is it the fault of the government, World leaders, New Age Movement, or Witchcraft that is being fed to the children in super doses? You will be able to decide after reading this brief description of the problem . . . What's wrong with our children?

The first question is one of spiritual authority. Surely, Christian parents need not be reminded of the responsibility they have for their precious young souls God has entrusted unto them. The Bible is full of admonitions to "carefully train one's child."

And ye shall teach them (God's ways and commandments) to your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."-- Deut.11:19. "And ye, fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." -- Eph.6: 4.

Conversely, there are dire spiritual warnings for those who fail to either teach their children or lead them into error-filled teachings (also pertains to others who lead them into sin): "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he be drowned in the depths of the sea." -- Mt.18:6.

Accordingly God has given Christian parents fundamental spiritual authority, or headship over their children. Even if the child has not yet received eternal life, he or she is protected under the covenant of the parents' commitment to Jesus Christ to an incredible extent. The Lord has placed a strong hedge of protection around Christian families. (Job.1: 10).

CHILDREN ARE KILLING CHILDREN !

The biggest problems in schools, used to be when a child shot a spit ball across the room. Maybe a boy would stick a girls pigtail in an ink well. However, today, children are killing children. The children are suffering from the spiritual stupidity of the plots and plans of adults!

It came out into the open when the Littleton, Colorado massacre of April 22, 1999 happened. It is a crime that had been building for years. It didn't just happen. When Eric Harris, 18, and Dylan Klebold, 17, aimed their guns and bombs, killing a teacher and 12 students before turning their weapons on themselves, it was a crises that boils in the minds of young people across the country. After this horrendous transgression, copycat acts were reported nationwide. The shock of the nation still reeled during the week of the funerals. From President Clinton to every breathing liberal, shouts for gun-control were being echoed. The conservatives call attention to the cultural lack of spiritual and moral values.

There were many heroines and heros that appeared on this terrible national day of tragedy. Cassie Bernal, a Junior, carried her Bible to school with her every day. When she was asked if she was a Christian, she replied, yes, and I am praying now. The gunman shot her and instantly killed her. Cassie became a Christian martyr due to the spiritual vacuum that has been instituted in our schools. The courage of her testimony has exploded in the media around the world.

Isaiah Shoels age 18, was another champion of the faith. Rachael Scot, 16, was active in the Celebration Christian Fellowship church. She played dead in the library and led many students to freedom. She lost her life. Coach William 'Dave' Sanders, was a serious Christian, and gave his life trying to save the children. Steven Curnow, Corey De Pooter, Matthew Kechter, Daniel Mauser, John Tomlin, Lauren Townsend, Daniel Rohrbough, Kelly Fleming and Kyle Velasquez were all savaged by the altars of a spiritual vacuum created by the anti-God doctrines instituted by the raging atheists. All these young people are champions. Their bravery shown in their deaths has been broadcast worldwide, and millions heard the Gospel preached.

CHILD PROPHET

Children are important in God's providence. The prophet Samuel began to hear the word of the Lord as a child, and soon was established before all Israel as a prophet of the Lord. Under the sinful reign of Eli's sons, Hophni and Phineas, God allowed the Philistines to do an unprecedented thing--to steal the Ark of the Covenant! I Samuel 4:3-11. At that time, the Ark was in Shiloh, I Samuel 4:3. Israel's faith in God's deliverance was thwarted because of the sin in the priesthood of Israel. Even though Israel shouted with a great shout of victory, God allowed them to be defeated. "The glory of God departed from Israel, because the ark was taken," even as the glory of God departed from the Christian church following the days of the apostles, ( I Samuel 4:21-22). God judged the Philistines for capturing the ark and plagued them so much they decided to return it! ( I Samuel 5:1-12; 6:1,2).

Is America standing in the same position as Israel? Have we ignored the departure of our spiritual heritage that has been stolen by the "Hophnis and Phineas" of our day?

The Presence of God brings judgment to the false gods of this world. It is interesting that there is no conviction concerning the demonic mixtures of the gods of this world into the church of Jesus Christ. In many instances, because the flesh is so well entertained, many do not even miss the Presence of Jesus in the church! God's judgement begins in the house of God!

The Philistines returned the Ark on a cart and the sons of Bethshemesh received it in Israel. The men of Bethshemesh violated the presence of God by looking into the Ark; and God destroyed 50,070 of them in a great judgment, ( I Samuel 6:19-20).

King David later faced the dreadful judgement of God when Uzza died for touching the Ark! The Presence of God is holy and cannot be handled unlawfully by men. The men of Bethshemesh were so terrified by the judgment of God that they asked the men of Kirjathjearim to come get the Ark, ( I Samuel 6:21). The Ark remained in Kirjathjearim for a long time, until King David brought it up to Jerusalem.

King Saul never sought the Ark of God; he is a type of leader who really didn't want the Presence of God to be central in his program. David's Tabernacle revival of worship and praise was preached by an order of leadership epitomized by King Saul.

Saul experienced the prophetic anointing. "The Spirit of the Lord came upon Saul and he was "turned into another man," as he prophesied among the singing prophets," ( I Samuel 10:5-13). Yet Saul did not wholly follow the Lord, but compromised the principles of God's word whenever the pressure became too great from the people or from circumstances around him. He "forced" himself against his own conscience and presumed the priest's office by offering sacrifices, contrary to the commandment of Samuel, ( I Samuel 13:8-12).

Early on in Saul's kingdom, Samuel prophesied that a better king than Saul would arise after him (David), ( I Samuel 12:14).

Saul disobeyed Samuel again, by keeping alive the king of the Amalekites and the best of the sheep and oxen, ( I Samuel 15:1-5, 9-19). Saul blamed the people for saving the best cattle for a sacrifice, but Samuel rebuked him by declaring that God wants obedience more than ritualistic sacrifices, ( I Samuel 15:20-23).

In the midst of Saul's reign, the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul and rested upon David, immediately after Samuel prophesied that David would be the next king of Israel.

Rebellion has brought our country to the brink of disaster.
